Urban Future Talks 05 Rothneusiedl - climate-friendly urban planning

Over the next decade, an urban and lively district will be created on a total area of 124 hectares. The goal is to create a pioneering district for climate protection and climate adaptation with many green and open spaces as well as affordable housing. In addition to living and working, social, cultural and sporting uses are also planned. The rural character is to be integrated and reinterpreted in the sense of an urban district.

Based on the findings of the urban district development concept (SEK) for the southern area of Favoriten and the structural concept for Rothneusiedl drawn up in 2021, an urban development model is to be developed in the coming years, which will form the basis for the zoning and development plan.
