Population growth since the turn of the millennium is a challenge for Vienna. The Urban Development Plan (STEP) 2025 formulated the corresponding strategic guidelines for an ecologically sustainable, socially balanced and economically successful development of Vienna as a metropolis. Using the STEP as basis , in-depth specialised concepts are generated for mobility, public space, energy and productive city, among others.
