Who we are
UIV Urban Innovation Vienna GmbH is the climate and innovation agency of the City of Vienna and a company of Wien Holding. We advise and support the city of Vienna and its companies in building and maintaining their ability to transformation. We are a business consultancy registered under commercial law and also have a business license as a real estate trustee.
Our mission requires intensive cooperation: within the urban structures, at the district and neighbourhood level as well as nationally and across the EU. We are well connected in politics and administration, business and industry as well as science and research at local, national and European levels.

Corporate Governance
As a company of Wien Holding, UIV Urban Innovation Vienna GmbH is committed to responsible, transparent and accountable corporate governance. This commitment is based on the Vienna Public Corporate Governance Code (WPCGK), which sets out standards for clear corporate governance structures, effective oversight and responsible decision-making processes.
For the 2025 financial year, Wien Holding GmbH has prepared a consolidated Corporate Governance Report that also covers its affiliated companies subject to the Vienna Public Corporate Governance Code. The report is published centrally on the Wien Holding GmbH website. In addition, the annual financial statements are made available for download on the respective companies’ websites.

We are an interdisciplinary team of experts on future issues. Architects and urban planners, energy engineers and programmers work for us, as do economists and sociologists, political scientists and innovation managers. This mix allows us to think about sustainable change holistically. We value this diversity as a source of creativity and innovation.
We take a structured and transparent approach to sustainable business practices.
Our Common Good Balance Sheet (Version 5.0, Full Balance Sheet) has been externally audited by vita bona Prüf & Audit GmbH and SystemCert ZertifizierungsGes.m.b.H. and is valid until 30 November 2027 (Document ID h75ve). The assessment covers environmental, social and economic aspects of our business activities.
We have also received the OekoBusiness Vienna distinction for environmental measures implemented within our organisation and our efforts to use resources more efficiently.
The compatibility of work and family is a particular concern of ours. We are proud holders of the “berufundfamilie” certificate, which is awarded by the Federal Chancellery to family-friendly employers.
