Development of urban climatology indicators
How can climate adaptation measures be better integrated into urban processes? UIV and partner Geosphere Austria are addressing this question on behalf of the City of Vienna. The aim is to develop a set of methods that allows urban climate impacts of (urban) construction projects to be assessed and modelled in a comprehensible way. This should support planning and improve the evaluation of measures.
Our role: Researching international good practices, urban climatological parameters and simulation models for assessing the impact of construction projects. Dialogue with local and international experts, establishment of a guideline for climate-sensitive urban development.
